Well, after a few weeks of boring episodes, I thought they delivered a GREAT episode tonight. We all knew Ben wasn't really dead, so it was no surprise that they had him alive within the first few minutes. Taking him to the Others was a great twist (though it makes total sense), and I loved how they incorporated that mysterious temple. Waking up to Locke was icing on the cake.

They finally explained the Aaron story, though I'm not sure why Kate made such a big deal about it with Jack when he confronted her about it earlier in the season. Not a terribly exciting storyline, but I found it kind of interesting nonetheless.

Hurley and what's his name talking about time travel was awesome. Very funny, and very interesting -- kind of like the writers were actually trying to explain it to the audience.

I loved the argument between Jack and Kate, when she was trying to convince him to save Ben. I loved how Jack is perfectly content to let things play out. The man of science has finally succumbed to letting fate do its thing. It's a huge development for the Jack character, and I like it.

Overall, not an action packed episode, or one with tons of "answers" or big shocking moments, but a fantastic character development episode.

I agree with pretty much everything. Great episode with some cool explanations of how things are playing out. I liked the Back to the Future reference ! Yes ! Best. Movies. Ever.

One of the more interesting points in the show is realizing that it was actually Kate and Sawyer who basically turn Ben into the "Other" that we see when hes older. Strange twist to think about.

Man, I totally forgot about Cassidy and Clementine. I guess it's all coming together now. Finally learning about what Sawyer said to Kate on the chopper, and seeing her story play out was nice to see. One thing that is always confusing me is the family tree of Jack, Christian, Claire, Aaron etc. I really need to make a chart or something. Hmm, there probably is one out there somewhere. But I think that would be fun to figure out. Really twisty family.

Overall, I liked this episode. Lots of answers and some nice juicy questions near the end. From seeing the preview, I think next week's episode is going to be spectacular ! Looks really interesting.

Asano do you know by chance what the names of thoose people are that they guy was telling richard, I know one was charles.

He said I think "You should ask blank, and charles first" and richard said "I don't take orders from them, blah blah blah". This esp. shows that Charles had some type of power on the island and looks like ben grows up to team up with richard to get rid of them and then richard no longer likes ben ass and falls in love with locke ass.

I like how Kate says she is going back to find Claire. She is now my female hero. I tearjerked, i ain't lying.

Miles was the name of the dude Hurley was talking to about time travel. I'm sitting here trying to come up with something clever to say about time travel but i'm so tired that i fail so i give up.

I think it was obvious that Whitmoore had some sort of power on the island at one point, can't wait to see that play out. As for blank i didn't hear that part for some reason, did he actually say blank? Jacob? nah right? He is to powerful or something no?

The temple, i love it, He is taking Ben to see some dead Mayans and he is going to show Ben the secrets to 12/21/12 and why the world ends when the Galactic Alignment hits earth is why he kills Locke.

The ending was the best with Locke. Hope it starts off from there next week.

Yeah, I didn't catch that other name either. It sounded like a chick's name... maybe beginning with an 'E'?... so I immediately thought of the old lady in the church that Ben, Jack, Desmond, et al went to see in L.A. to get back to the island. I forget what her name is atm. That's the only other person I could think of.

YES! That was so great.

I'm pretty sure it goes like this:

Christian
-- Jack
-- Claire
---- Aaron

So Jack and Claire are half-brother/sister, which makes Aaron Jack's nephew, and Christian's grandson.

The temple, i love it, He is taking Ben to see some dead Mayans and he is going to show Ben the secrets to 12/21/12 and why the world ends when the Galactic Alignment hits earth is why he kills Locke.

LOL!

so one thing i thought about this episode. Ben was OBSESSED with juliet when she came to the island. Do you think now it was a boyhood crush that he is trying to realize? Also, I am curious to the definition of what defines someone as "other". Not really sure where that is gonna go.

The name was Eloise. Faraday's Mom.

I am almost sure this has to do something with the temple and that black smoke. Remember early espiodes we saw the french people went into the temple and all went evil but the french lady, and think she wasn't effected because she was carrying a child is what I think. Richard said once he takes Ben we will no longer be the same and will forever be one of us and also will not remember what happened. I think thats why future Ben doesn't know syed or however you spell his name.

That's a really good point, and it ties back into Hurley's question that stumped Miles. But did Richard actually say he wouldn't remember? I thought he just said Ben would "lose his innocence" and wouldn't be the same.

It was Ellie and apparently that was the chick that led the group that captured Faraday, Charlotte and Miles and brought them to Richard's camp earlier in the season. She was also the one that took Faraday to the hbomb to disarm.

Yeah, Richard did say Ben wouldn't remember anything.

Richard said he won't remember and lose his innocence and will now be "The others"

Yeah, Richard did say Ben wouldn't remember anything.

This is why i like this season so far, it's getting crazy and i love crazy. Son meeting up with mom as a child. The oceanic 6 from the future being the cause this stuff happened in the past. Hurley being the chef. Really looking forward to next week since they left off with Ben and Locke.
