Looking to get a 560 prolly next year early. No rush with my current set up.

lol, i mis-read that completely. yeah i wanted a 560 but shit it was another 100 bucks, and the performance increase wasn't enough for me to do that yet. besides ill SLI another 550 and call it good when i get more cash.

You should have got that asus mobo that like has it's own cooling case, also quad channel memory > dual ftw

Also, no SSD and corsair PSU > antec

well the PSU i can change, i will need another when i put the other pc together for my son, ill just get myself a new one ).

i used to by asus, but had a huge problem awhile back with an RMA and shitty service, so told myself i wouldn't go back.

i agree with onion and why u buying such a huge PSU when ur only gonna run a single card?

edit: the 550 Ti benchmarks pretty low too

id get a 750W PSU Corsair and a 560 or 560 Ti. the 560 benchmarks almost 1000 points higher than the 550 Ti ( which is only 192 bit. instead of 256 like the 560 series.) if u want to SLI them eventually its recommended that you at least have 800W but i dont think u will need to SLI this card at all.

save 50$ on psu and the gpu gonna cost u about another 90-100$ so overall 50$ more expensive i think you will like it a lot more.

Yeah, 900w is overkill unless you're running SLI. 750w would be sufficient, just make sure whatever you're getting can put out the amperage required for the card. The 5xx series takes like 34amps(lolspaceheater). One of my co-workers just grabbed a 750w corsair and an EVGA 560 and everything runs sooooooo good.

What they said pretty much. CPU, GPU, DDR3 are the main things to make your machine and it's gaming owner a happy camper. Go with the 560.

yes i would use corsair PSU and EVGA if u buy nvidia. i had my 7950x2 EVGA for like 3 years til i upgraded to this one and never died or had problems with it.

not to mention EVGA has pretty much the best customer service of any company, and their step up program is fantastic.
