What specs are your PC? H264 codec is pretty CPU intensive.

its rather old so ... thats probably it. should i just get the uncompressed ver. of the HD feed, cause they usually come out before the SD version. or is their a program to reduce HD to SD

You're better off with the SD versions or lower-resolution widescreen releases.
