I knew who he was the minute I saw him because he's too big of an actor to be a nobody on a show like Game of Thrones.

i don't even know the actor, i had suspicions at first, but as soon as the guy says "you bastard" i knew who he was.

Yeah the writers have done a really good job of not using the term bastard in any context other than what it means, unlike most tv/movies.

I always pictured Ramsay differently. If he was ever truly described in detail in the books, I don't remember, but this is what I pictured:

Needless to say, it took me a while to catch on to who he was. Started to figure it out about the time he cut down all of his men...too talented to be a nobody squire.

The stuff we're seeing with Theon is basically all invented for the show. He disappears for a really long time in the books and has some truly horrible things happen to him, some of which are only alluded at.
