FF versus cancelled
 

Was looking forward to an actual good FF for a while, my hopes have now been crushed. Bring on FF-13-3 so I can just skip that game cause it will suck.

I'm not sure I've even really played a FF game since VIII, and I don't remember if I even finished that one. VI, VII, and Tactics go down as my favorite video games (in that order) of all time though. I played bits of IX and X, and gave the MMO (XI) a shot, but none of them really stuck. XII came out during WoW days, so I never gave it much of a shot either. And I never even purchased XIII.

Think it's worth going back to replay any of those?

6/7/tactics among my fav's too. 9 was better than 8. You might enjoy X, I did. 12 wasn't that enjoyable, 13 was super sucktastic. If you can handle retro you might enjoy 2 it was really good back then.

I have some of the early FF games (IV, V, and VI) on my Game Boy Advance SP, which I'll play during long flights. I definitely still like those games even today. They've all aged really well, imo. Of course, the small screen helps the keep the graphics from looking too pixelated. I'm worried the later FF games will look like garbage on a big screen TV.

Awesome. I love me some existential philosophy. Is that a dominant theme in FF9 (what's the meaning of existence, etc)? I loved Neon Genesis Evangelion and Haibane Renmei for that reason.

I have tactics on my Iphone. When i had my droid i had an emulator and played ff3 (ff6 in japan) as well.

Tactics and 3 are tied for my favorite with 7 close behind.

i liked FF IX a lot zidane and vivi ftw.

FFX was awesome.
