JJ Abrams doing Star Wars?

If nothing else, I feel like JJ will keep the movie on the darker side and not allow a repeat of Jar Jar or toddler Anakin. I remain optimistic.

I haven't watched much of what he has done, but Lost and Star Trek are enough to get me pumped. It seems like his Sci-fi record is pretty solid thus far (Star Wars is actually fantasy whatever...same difference). They could definitely do worse.

Apparently Ben Affleck was their #2 choice, so yeah, definitely could've done worse.

well, thinking about it for a little bit, while I thought star trek was fun (but not really a star trek movie) that style seems better suited for star wars. I think flashy and action work better in that universe. So, maybe it will be ok.
