There are specific zones (novelty only; min level 15) that are pushed by DarkGod whenever he's online that is only available to those characters currently logged in, and in game. These zones have unique artifacts at the end which really help. He also gives temp/perma character buffs, which can really pay off as well (10 turn Invulnerability, Perma 10% crit increase, gold find increase, etc.)
I usually park myself near a named/boss or higher level dungeon so I can reap the benefits

Wow. I didn't even realize this was an online game. =P How do you know where these novelty zones are? Is there something on the forum that talks about this?
I guess that explains how you've logged over 1600 hours on this game. ;-)

Ha. Yes, I literally just leave it running in the background 24/7. They will appear as portals (randomly) on the world map. There will also be an in-game prompt which notifies you of the zone/buff he spawned. You can check the wiki for 'zones'.
