I'm sure it's possible, but I'm a little skeptical too. We've seen hints of it in games like WoW (e.g. flame leviathan, malygos) and SWtoR. The article brings up a good point about a potential problem with the lack of holy trinity:

If they can create encounters that require actual skill to differentiate between good and bad players, and not needing traditional healer/tank/dps roles, it could be a glorious thing.
