whats your budget? and what do you need it for etc.

Do you need a new case? stuff like that. With price range and what you need, and use it for, I can help you out.

Yeah let's just start with absolutely nothing and build full computer, and for a budget I guess id like to keep it under 1300, but I have a nice monitor and keyboard so I don't need that

stag u can build a top of the line comp for like 800$ now so if ur shooting for under 1300 it should be no problem to build a high end computer.

I dunno about "top of the line" for $800, but definitely decent. If you're building a gaming rig with a $1300 budget, I might spring for SSD (~$250) and a high-end video card ($300-400). Those make the biggest impact, so splurge there. You should be able to get the rest of the components and still stay under budget without much trouble.

My 5 minute browse on newegg came back with...

Power: $115 (once you try a modular PS, you can't go back)
Case: $100 (love my Antec cases)
CPU: $290
Motherboard: $120
Memory: $54
SSD:$210 (I haven't tried this one personally, so do you homework on SSDs. They're worth it.)
Video Card:$320

Total: $1209 + tax

I'm sure someone else find better deals; I just chose the brands I usually stick with.

Excellent, thanks Asano. I would just spend some ridiculous amount on this computer but I just recently caved and bought the Apple MacBook Pro which was a god chunk of change

I've had the 900 for the last 5 years and I've always been happy with it, have you seen the fairly recent Corsair cases? Depending on my budget I think I'll be going with them when I get home sometime early next year. So many fan placement options, pretty spacious with both sides of the case being removable, plus they all look killer.
