I didn't get into the backer beta, and I haven't followed the talk about it. I don't think there's specific date set for open beta or release, but last I heard release was slated for "winter" this year.

Damn, that sucks. I thought they were really close after opening up the backer beta. Oh well. It would've competed against DA3 for me anyway, so I guess early 2015 will work out well (although that's Witcher 3 timing...).

I preloaded it from Steam yesterday and anxiously waited until midnight thinking/hoping it would become playable then. Unfortunately I didn't notice the countdown to 10am PST. Looking forward to playing it tonight when I get home from work. On the fence whether I want to watch people play it on Twitch in the meantime, or if I should just wait and go into it completely fresh.
