D3 2.1
Started playing D3 again, just to check out the latest big patch which included greater rifts and seasons. Gotta admit I'm having fun in this game again.
My biggest gripe with D3 was that the game was entirely focused on gear farming which was entirely random, with very low % drops for set gear and too many poorly rolled legendaries. Maybe my luck has been ridiculously good this past week, but it seems like they seriously upped the drop rate of everything. I'm maybe 30 hours into my seasonal wizard and already clearing T5 with a 6/7 of my class set which is something I never even got close to before 2.1. Greater Rifts seem to be a good solution to the infinite difficulty scaling. It'll be interesting to see how far the community gets. Even for casual players though, they're pretty fun knowing it's limited to 15 mins per level, max. When you only want to play for short time, you get a sense of accomplishment from finishing a GRift in way you never got from anything else in the game -- especially since bounties and regular rifts usually take longer than a GRifts 10 mins. I also appreciate the 100% drop rate on bounty-specific legendaries at T6. The RoRG was such a pita to farm beforehand. Now there's at least some predictability to getting it. I still haven't seen the goblin Vault after maybe a couple dozen goblin kills. I suspect it's a little too rare at the moment (1% chance I'm guessing). Maybe I should've been more hardcore during the community buff when goblins spawned two at a time, especially with the 100% Halls of Agony goblin. But oh well. Hopefully I'll see one soon to get my Hoarder gem. Speaking of gems, the legendary gems were a great idea. Wonder if they'll be able to come up with new, interesting gems each season. They were awfully easy to get though. Wonder if they should've made them a little more difficult -- maybe tying them to some achievements? All in all, D3 seems to be in the best place it's ever been. We'll see if they can continue to provide new, quality content each season.

They severely upped the drops but 6/7 that quickly is insanely lucky still. I agree with you though, D3 is in a good place right now.
What's your tag, my list was wiped out a while back? I don't have much time to play my ladder toon right now due to work and coaching but I'll get there.
